Large Sodalite Toki
Description
Large Sodalite Toki
Country of origin:Brazil
The toki is shaped like the blade of a traditional adze, which was the primary cutting and shaping tool for wood in historical Māori society. It symbolizes strength, courage, and leadership, representing the authority and focus required to create and build.
Sodalite is a rich royal blue tectosilicate mineral, scientifically composed of sodium aluminum silicate chloride with distinctive white calcite veining. Associated with the Throat and Third Eye chakras, this mineral enhances mental clarity, intuition, and calm communication, assisting in stress reduction and inner stability.
Taking care of your Taonga
Wearing your Pounamu close to your skin can help it maintain its polish. This is because it naturally absorbs oils from your skin, which will give it a special connection to you.
To further care for your taonga, you can oil it using any natural household oils or fats such as
- olive oil
- coconut oil
- vegetable oil
- tallow
Doing so will help ensure that it remains sparkling and beautiful for many years to come.
